Thundamentals’ reputation as a band of party starters with a loud egalitarian streak is obviously resonating with Australian music fans as demand has pushed the rap crew to double the number of Elephant In The Room tour

What’s more, taking a leaf from the legacy of support that legends like the Hilltop Hoods [among others] have given Thundas, the Sydney-via-Blue Mountains group are announcing Melbourne’s 18-year-old rap wunderkind
BARO as tour support, taking the up-and-coming rhymesmith on the road for 15 of their 24 Elephant In the Room dates.

The good vibes couldn’t have come at a better time, with Thundamentals today revealing their official appointment as Welcome To Australia ambassadors, a significant marker in the overarching message of inclusiveness and story-telling that the band has solidified with last year’s wildly successful LP So We Can Remember.

To celebrate their Welcome To Australia appointment, Thundamentals are designing a special edition ‘Got Love’ band shirt, with 100% of proceeds going to The Asylum Seeker Centre.

It’s hoped that the sales might, in some small way, contribute to the Not For Profit’s mission “to provide a welcoming environment and practical support
for community-based asylum seekers, while building community support and pursuing social justice outcomes for them.”

As MC Jeswon explains in an official statement to Welcome To Australia, it’s a big nod to the “ideals that myself and my friends are representing in our music:
diversity, compassion and a commitment to cultivating meaningful relationships within the community. One Love.”
